In this project the wildcats routes plan takes shape.

The focus since 2004 was the corridor Hainich - Thuringian Forest.

After intensive preparation the first 10,00 bushes and trees were planted in autumn 2007 for a green corridor - a connection of both forests.

Before the project could be implemented, employees and BUND volunteers observed the wildcats of the Hainich for several years, determinedthe ideal course of the corridor, negotiated with landowners and authorities, and established financial models.
